This year's Spelling Bee featured teams dressed up in creative costumes, including Lab Rats from PPD, the Marx brothers from SAS, runners from Collaborative Consulting and Uncle Sam, the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause from Lynn's & Daphne's Hallmark Shops.   Each team was battling it out through spelling words of increasing difficulty.  Participating teams included Batchelor, Tillery & Roberts, LLP, Cary Page Rotary Club, Collaborative Consulting, LLC, Lynn's & Daphne's Hallmark Shops, PPD, and SAS.  This year's competition was fierce ending with four spell-offs to determine the runner up!  The First Place Award went to SAS, the Runner Up and Best Costume Awards went to Lynn's & Daphne's Hallmark Shops, and the Best Team Spirit Award went to PPD.  Congratulations to the teams and winners!  And thank you to everyone who came out to show their support and watch the competition!   To view pictures of the event please click here: http://literacycouncilofwakecounty.shutterfly.com/

First Annual Road Rally was a great success!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Literacy Council at May 30th's event.  There was a great turn out at Hendrick Cary Auto Mall as everyone gathered to review the rules and get ready to begin.  The weather was perfect for driving as everyone followed clues that led them to Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek (the secret end location!) where everyone enjoyed food and music as points were tallied and the winning car was announced!  To view pictures of the event please click here: http://literacycouncilofwakecounty.shutterfly.com/
